D1 Arrival in Beijing
Arrive at Beijing Capital International Airport where your English-speaking guide greets you and transfers you to your centrally located hotel. Settle in and enjoy free time to explore the surrounding neighborhood. Optional evening: sample authentic Beijing duck at a renowned local restaurant.
D2 Beijing City Highlights
Begin at the vast Tiananmen Square, the world's largest public square, before stepping into the Forbidden City — the imperial palace of 24 Ming and Qing dynasty emperors with over 8,700 rooms. Climb to Jingshan Park for a breathtaking panoramic view of the entire palace complex. Afternoon visit to the Summer Palace, the exquisite imperial garden featuring the Long Corridor, Kunming Lake, and the Marble Boat.
D3 Great Wall & Modern Beijing
Drive to the Mutianyu section of the Great Wall (approx. 1.5 hours), famous for its well-preserved watchtowers and stunning mountain scenery. Take the cable car up and hike along the wall, challenging yourself to reach Watchtower 20 for spectacular views. D4 Beijing to Shanghai by Bullet Train
After breakfast, board the high-speed bullet train to Shanghai (4.5-5.5 hours), watching the Chinese countryside unfold outside your window. Arrive in Shanghai and transfer to your hotel. The rest of the day is free for independent exploration — perhaps take an evening stroll along the Bund to see the spectacular Pudong skyline illuminated at night.
D5 Shanghai City Tour
