🚄 High-Speed Trains & Railways

• • China's high-speed rail network is the world's largest, connecting virtually all major cities. Beijing to Shanghai takes just 4.5 hours, Beijing to Xi'an 4.5 hours, Shanghai to Hangzhou under 1 hour.
• • How to book: Via the 12306 official website/app (English version available), or at train station counters. Book 1-2 weeks in advance, especially during holidays. We can assist with ticket booking.
• • Seat classes: Second Class (affordable), First Class (more spacious), Business Class (lie-flat seats, similar to business class on planes).
• • Regular trains: Budget-friendly option with hard seat, hard sleeper, and soft sleeper. Overnight trains save on accommodation costs.

✈️ Domestic Flights

• • Major airlines: Air China, China Eastern, China Southern, Hainan Airlines. Covering 200+ cities.
• • Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou, and Chengdu are the main hubs. Beijing to Chengdu is about 3 hours, to Kunming about 3.5 hours.
• • Book through airline websites or Trip.com (English version). Note baggage allowance — typically 20kg for domestic flights.

• • Fares: Typically 2-10 RMB (about $0.3-$1.5). Pay via Alipay/WeChat QR code, single-journey tickets, or transport cards.
• • Buses: Cover every corner of cities, 1-2 RMB per ride. Most support QR code payment.
• • Navigation: Download Amap (Gaode Maps) or Baidu Maps app (English version available) for real-time transit navigation.

🚕 Taxis & Ride-Hailing

• • Taxis: Starting fare around 10-14 RMB (varies by city). Use the Didi Chuxing app — similar to Uber, with English interface available.
• • Ride-hailing: Didi covers the entire country. Link your international credit card to use it.
